PM Narendra Modi criticised the Mamata Banerjee-led TMC for opposing the Women’s Reservation Bill in Parliament, calling it a "betrayal of the sisters of Bengal". He said TMC conspired with Congress to prevent the law from being passed. "TMC doesn’t want Bengal's daughters to become MLAs and MPs as they were challenging their ‘Maha Jungle Raj'," he said.
