World no. 1 Sinner becomes first Italian man to win US Open, gets ₹30-crore prize money

World number one Jannik Sinner defeated world number 12 Taylor Fritz 6-3, 6-4, 7-5 to win the US Open 2024 men's singles final. With this, the 23-year-old became the first Italian to win the US Open men's singles event. Sinner received a prize money of $3,600,000 (more than ₹30 crore) for his victory.
