Prime Minister Narendra Modi announced an ex-gratia of ₹2 lakh each for the families of 20 people who died in an explosion at a firecracker unit in Andhra Pradesh's Kakinada district on Saturday. The Andhra Pradesh government announced an ex gratia of ₹20 lakh each for the families of the deceased. PM Modi also announced ₹50,000 each for the injured.
