Legendary Georgian wrestling coach Vladimer Mestvirishvili, who trained several Olympic medallists, was posthumously honoured with the Padma Shri on Sunday. He served as Georgia's national coach from 1982 to 1992 and came to India in 2003. Affectionately known as 'Laado' and widely regarded as the architect of India's wrestling resurgence, he coached Sushil Kumar, Yogeshwar Dutt and Bajrang Punia.
