Canada, France open consulates in Greenland after Trump's threats

France ⁠and Canada opened consulates in Greenland's capital, Nuuk, on Friday in a show of solidarity following US President Donald Trump's threats to take control of the territory. A delegation of senior Canadian and French officials visited Nuuk to formally open the respective consulates. France has become the first European Union member state to establish a consulate general in Nuuk.
