Rishabh Pant became the most expensive player in the history of IPL after being bought by LSG for ₹27 crore. LSG and RCB had a bidding war for Pant till the price reached ₹11.25 crore. SRH then entered the bidding and fought till ₹20.75 crore after which DC tried to use RTM, but LSG raised the price and acquired Pant.
