Filmmaker Nikkhil Advani recalled Shah Rukh Khan advocated for him to direct Dharma Productions' 'Kal Ho Naa Ho'. "Shah Rukh went to Yash Johar and said, 'I'll do another film with Dharma...only if Nikkhil directs it'...I owe him my entire career as a director," said Nikkhil. He added that Shah Rukh agreed to do the film without reading entire script.
