IT Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw said India's draft Digital Personal Data Protection rules maintain the balance between innovation and regulation. He stated that European data laws killed the innovation ecosystem through compliance burden but that won't happen in India. "Our innovation ecosystem will continue to grow with a proper legal framework," he added.
