Strait of Hormuz may take weeks to reopen, world's largest tanker operator warns

World’s largest tanker operator, Japan’s Mitsui OSK Lines, said shipowners want to resume transit through Strait of Hormuz only after being confident that the US-Iran deal is material. “Given the experiences in the last couple of months, it may take at least a couple of weeks,” it said. The company operates over 900 vessels, including tankers, bulk carriers and ferries.
