GST collections rise 23% in October, fastest growth in 4 years

India's gross GST collections rose 23% year-on-year to ₹2.31 lakh crore in October, marking the fastest growth in over four years. The increase was higher than September's 14.7% growth and marked the fourth consecutive month of collections crossing ₹2 lakh crore. Higher revenue from imports, which jumped 42.2% to ₹72,246 crore, drove the growth.
