Munna Prasad Gupta, assistant teacher at a government school, chose to ride a family horse instead of a motorcycle to conduct Census-related fieldwork in remote villages amid fuel shortages at petrol pumps in Jharkhand. "Petrol wasn't easily available...and there were long queues. So, I thought that instead of wasting time in queues...I should come up with an alternative," Gupta added.
