UPSC mentor Shubhra Ranjan was tied up inside a house in Bhopal, MP, allegedly by her ex-student Priyank Sharma. Priyank allegedly transferred ₹1.90 crore from her accounts into his account. He called her to Bhopal on the pretext of opening a new coaching centre and held her hostage at gunpoint. Six accused have been arrested, said reports.
