Ex-India leg-spinner Laxman Sivaramakrishnan, who recently retired from commentary alleging colour bias, recalled facing colour discrimination on his 17th birthday during Team India's tour of Pakistan. He revealed a teammate told captain Sunil Gavaskar, "You ordered the right colour cake...dark chocolate for a dark boy." Sivaramakrishnan said he broke down and Gavaskar had to pacify the situation.
