Pakistan has directed markets and malls across the country, excluding Sindh, to close by 8 pm under an energy conservation plan. Restaurants and wedding events must shut by 10 pm, while medical stores will continue operating as usual. The measures will come into effect from April 7. Intercity public transport in Gilgit and Muzaffarabad will be free for one month.
