Pak stops salaries of ministers, cuts petrol price after PKR 137 hike sparked protests

Pakistan government decided to cut petrol prices by PKR 80 (₹26.63) after widespread protests due to PKR 137.24 hike in petrol prices to PKR 458.41/litre (₹152.61) and PKR 184.49 hike in diesel prices to PKR 520.35/litre (₹173.23). Moreover, Pakistan's federal cabinet has agreed to go without salaries for six months, Pakistani PM Shehbaz Sharif announced.
