Fireworks were organised at Somnath Temple as 72-hour 'Aum' chanting continued in background during the ongoing Somnath Swabhiman Parv. PM Narendra Modi was also present at the temple to take part in the celebrations. The Somnath Swabhiman Parv, being held from January 8 to 11, marks 1,000 years since the invasion of the temple by Mahmud of Ghazni in 1026.
