Iran's President Masoud ​Pezeshkian, in an open letter to ​​American people, said ⁠his country ​harbours no ​enmity towards other nations. He said portraying Iran as ​threat ​was "neither ⁠consistent with ​historical reality ​nor ⁠with present-day facts". The letter traced Iran's distrust of US policies to a series of historical events. Pezeshkian urged Americans to look beyond "misinformation".
