Uttarakhand declares public holiday for women employees on Karwa Chauth

Uttarakhand government has declared a public holiday for women employees across the state on October 29 on the occasion of Karwa Chauth. CM Pushkar Dhami said Karwa Chauth is an important festival associated with women's faith, love and familial trust. The government is working sensitively towards protecting women's interests while respecting their sentiments, faith and traditions, Dhami added.
