Turkey-Somalia forces free hijacked vessel, kill 14 pirates

Turkey's navy and Somali armed forces freed a hijacked vessel in Somali waters after a 10-day battle with pirates, Somalia's Defence Ministry said. Four boats used by the pirates were destroyed, and 14 pirates were killed during the operation. "The sustained military pressure finally forced the remaining pirates to abandon the ship," the ministry said.
