The upkeep of Union ministers’ official bungalows in Lutyens’ Delhi cost the government a record ₹92.35 crore in 2025-26, over three times the ₹27.47 crore spent in 2014-15. According to RTI data obtained by PTI, ₹547.68 crore was spent between 2014-15 and 2025-26 by the Central Public Works Department. The officials attributed the rising bill to inflation and ageing structures.
