As many as 10 countries bagged a total of 42 medals on Day 1 of Commonwealth Games (CWG) 2026 on Friday. Australia bagged 13 medals and are on top of the medal standings with six gold medals. Nigeria are second with three gold medals, while Scotland are third with two gold medals. India bagged one bronze medal on Day 1.
