Air India signs deal to replace 34 old engines

Air India signed an agreement with Willis Lease Finance Corporation to sell 34 old CFM56-5B engines and lease back their replacements. The old engines have been powering Air India's four A320ceo aircraft and 13 A321ceo aircraft. Air India's Chief Commercial Officer Nipun Aggarwal said the deal would allow Air India to reduce maintenance costs and avoid unpredictable upkeep visits.
