Sanjana became the first Indian weightlifter to crash out of an event at the Commonwealth Games 2026 after failing all three snatch attempts in the women's 77kg competition. The 19-year-old failed to lift her opening weight of 94kg in all three attempts. Earlier, India's Nirupama Devi failed all three of her clean and jerk attempts in the 63kg event.
