Sebastian Stan says he declined Vampire Diaries role played by Paul Wesley

Sebastian Stan revealed he was offered the role of Stefan Salvatore in The Vampire Diaries before Paul Wesley was cast. Stan declined due to burnout after NBC's Kings was cancelled, fearing another short-lived series. He has no regrets, crediting the decision as part of the path that led him to Marvel's Bucky Barnes.
