Top tech firms in China cut over 1 lakh jobs in 1.5 years: Report
Leading internet conglomerates in China have laid off over 1,30,000 employees over the past 18 months, the Daily Mirror reported. Companies such as Alibaba, Tencent, ByteDance, Baidu and JD.com have significantly reduced their headcounts, with some firms downsizing their workforce by up to 40%. The layoffs are closely linked to the growing use of AI coding tools in the workplace.
