The Delhi High Court on Wednesday upheld the Centre's decision not to extend its contract with Vedanta for an offshore oil and gas block in Gujarat. The court also upheld the Centre's order directing Vedanta to cease its operations and hand over the block to ONGC. Vedanta argued that it satisfied the eligibility criteria and sought an extension until 2033.
