Shortage of cancer specialists to rise to 100 mn by 2050: Study

A study published by The Lancet projected that shortage of cancer care workers, including nurses and diagnostic specialists, will rise to 99.9 million by 2050. Africa and Asia will be worst-hit with a shortage of 34.3 million and 57.3 million workers respectively. The study further said additional 65 million nurses, 16 million diagnostic specialists will be needed by 2050.
