Maharashtra's Brahmapuri was the hottest place in the country on Monday with the maximum temperature touching 44.2°C, IMD said. At 43.5°C, Maharashtra's Wardha was the second-hottest place in the country, while Maharashtra's Chandrapur was at the third place with 43.4°C. They are followed by Telangana's Adilabad, with maximum temperature of 43.3°C.
