Lake in Kyrgyzstan where 118 rivers flow in but none flow out captured from space

Footage captured from the International Space Station shows Lake Issyk-Kul in Kyrgyzstan, where more than 118 rivers and streams flow in but none flow out. Located 1,607 metres above sea level in the Tian Shan mountains, the lake is an endorheic basin, a closed drainage system where water doesn't reach the ocean. Most of the water eventually leaves through evaporation.
