China has once again reignited tensions with India by reiterating its unfounded claim over Shaksgam Valley in J&K. Pakistan had illegally ceded 5,180 sqkm of Indian territory in the Shaksgam Valley to China in 1963 from areas illegally occupied by it, under Sino-Pakistan Border Agreement. India rejected this action as unlawful and illegitimate, asserting India's rightful claim to the territory.
