An analysis of data from about 6.5 million children in Brazil found that rising temperatures are linked to higher child malnutrition risks. Each 1°C increase above 26°C is associated with a 10% higher chance of being underweight and an 8% rise in acute and chronic malnutrition. The decade-long study linked children’s health records with birth data and local temperature trends.
