EU to disburse €3.3bn to Ukraine for missiles, drones

European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen announced the EU will disburse €3.3 billion to Ukraine for missiles and drones procurement. She also revealed plans to use SAFE programme funds for joint EU-Ukraine defence projects, including a European air and missile defence system. The EU has mobilised nearly €15 billion for Ukraine in 2026.
