Tata Trusts propose merger of 2 Tata units with Tata Sons to avoid listing

Tata Trusts, which hold 66% stake in Tata Sons, have written to company’s board and proposed restructuring of Tata Sons to keep group holding company unlisted. It involves merging Tata Electronics Systems Solutions Private Limited and Tata Consulting Engineers with Tata Sons. Restructuring would ensure "reorganised entity" would neither be an NBFC nor CIC, preventing a public listing, Trusts said.
