India administers 80 lakh HPV vaccine doses to young girls

India has administered 80 lakh Human Papillomavirus (HPV) vaccine doses to adolescent girls nationwide, marking a major milestone in cervical cancer prevention drive. The nationwide campaign was launched in February with the aim of providing free, voluntary, single-dose vaccination to girls aged 14 years. Uttar Pradesh led the states, with more than 22 lakh adolescent girls vaccinated.
