Greece, which moved from seventh to the top spot, has been named as the best country for retirement, according to International Living's 2026 Annual Global Retirement Index. It was followed by Panama, Costa Rica, Portugal, Mexico, Italy, France, Spain, Thailand and Malaysia. Notably, France scored the highest on healthcare category, while Thailand got the highest score on cost of living.
