Minister for Petroleum and Natural Gas Hardeep Singh Puri said, "Cylinder has never been cheaper than now." He commented in response to the claims by opponents that cylinders have become expensive. The minister stated that there are around 10.28 crore beneficiaries of Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana, who can buy cylinders for about ₹500.
