NASA's Landsat 9 captured an image of red-hot lava oozing from Iceland's Sundhnukur crater series. "This natural colour scene, acquired by OLI-2 on November 24, is overlaid with an infrared signal to help distinguish the lava's heat signature," NASA said. The lava emitting sulfur dioxide flowed across major roads and closed in on the popular tourist destination, the Blue Lagoon.
