World Economic Forum shared a video showing an eco-friendly bus in Oman that runs on biodiesel made from waste date kernels. Dates, which were used as coffee beans in Oman at the time, have about 9-15% of oil, which is used to make the biodiesel. The date kernels are washed, dried and crushed and the oil is extracted using alcohol.
