Anuj Pratap Singh, wanted for allegedly robbing ₹1.5-crore jewellery from a shop in UP's Sultanpur, has been shot dead by police in an encounter. Police had reached Unnao district to catch him when Singh attempted to escape and allegedly fired, prompting the encounter. He carried ₹1-lakh bounty on his head. Recently, another accused in the case was killed in encounter.
