Gold bond investors to see 227.5% returns on premature redemption

Sovereign Gold Bonds (SGB) 2021-22 Series VI investors will be able to prematurely redeem their bonds at ₹15,334 per unit on September 7, 2026. The bonds were issued at ₹4,732 per gram, or ₹4,682 for online investors paying digitally. Those who bought at the discounted price will earn ₹10,652 per unit, marking an absolute gain of around 227.5%.
