The BJP on Tuesday emphasised its "support" for student dissent and peaceful protests while rejecting violence and arson. "The [PM] Modi government has assured that no action or FIRs will be taken against peaceful protestors," BJP wrote on X. BJP cited a news report on Delhi Police's claims that 101 murder accused individuals had joined the CJP-led march to Parliament.
