Monsoon ends in Mumbai

The southwest monsoon withdrew from parts of Maharashtra, including Mumbai, on October 3. IMD said 20 of 36 districts, including Solapur, Beed, Hingoli, Jalna, Ahilyanagar and Dharashiv, recorded deficient rainfall. The Mumbai monsoon has withdrawn five days early from its normal date of October 8. This was also Mumbai's second-earliest withdrawal in 25 years, FPJ reported.
