Russia mandates 17 hours of military training for students in grades 6–11: Report

Russia will devote 50% of its "Fundamentals of Homeland Security and Defence" course to military training from September 1, Business Insider reported, citing Minister Sergei Kravtsov. Taught to students in grades 6–11, the course will include lessons on drones. It's taught for 34 hours each academic year, meaning students will receive at least 17 hours of basic military instruction annually.
