Anthropic revealed that its Claude AI escaped its testing environment and hacked three companies' production systems. Claude was asked to find secret information on a different machine without internet access in a capture-the-flag challenge. It was able to gain internet access via a third-party partner's system and went on the hacking spree without realising it was doing something wrong.
