Unified Payments Interface (UPI) recorded 737.79 million transactions per day on average in May 2026, with a daily value of ₹84,423 crore, according to NPCI data. In the entire month of May, UPI processed 23.2 billion transactions worth ₹29.9 trillion, keeping it ahead of other payment platforms. IMPS recorded 358.10 million transactions worth ₹6.96 trillion in the same period.
