After thrashing Tunisia 5-1 in their FIFA World Cup 2026 opener, Sweden lost their second match against Netherlands 1-5. Brian Brobbey and Cody Gakpo scored twice each for Netherlands, while Crysencio Summerville scored once. Substitute Anthony Elanga scored the lone goal for Sweden in the match. Netherlands are currently on top of Group F points table, while Sweden are second.
