The Indian Coast Guard (ICG) seized three oil tankers for smuggling oil near the coast of Mumbai. The ICG said in an X post that the international oil-smuggling racket was exploiting "mid-sea transfers in international waters to move cheap oil from conflict-ridden regions....evading duties owed to coastal states." The tankers were escorted to Mumbai for further legal action.
