Voting for Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) elections began on Thursday across all 227 wards in Greater Mumbai. The polling stations will remain open until 5:30 pm. Around 1,700 candidates are contesting for 227 seats in India’s richest civic body. The counting of votes will begin at 10 am on Friday, and results are expected by the end of the day.
