Noida DM, officials to pay ₹5 lakh compensation from their salaries to activist held under NSA

The Allahabad High Court quashed the detention of activist Akriti Chaudhary under the National Security Act (NSA) in connection with the Noida protest and directed the state to pay ₹5 lakh compensation to her. The penalty will be recovered from the salaries of the officials involved in sanctioning the detention, from the District Magistrate to the SHO.
