Pope Leo to undergo surgery

Pope Leo had revealed that he would undergo surgery at Rome's Gemelli Hospital to remove a "localised nodule" which doctors spotted in his lung. The nodule was "detected at a very early stage and is well localised", the Pope said. The pontiff will undergo surgery in a few days and will take a week for post-operative recovery.
